    Sioux Center Health announces Monica Sedelmeier, MBA as Interim CEO

    Sioux Center Health Board of Directors President, Brian Van Engen has announced the Board’s appointment of Marketing & Foundation Officer, Monica Sedelmeier, as the Interim Chief Executive Officer. Sioux Center Health’s former Chief Executive Officer, Kayleen R. Lee, resigned effective March 2rd.

    Monica Sedelmeier, a native of Sioux Center, has a Bachelor of Science in Business and Marketing from Wayne State College and a Master of Business Administration from Colorado Technical University. Prior to her position at Sioux Center Health, she was in leadership positions at Rice University and the Houston Independent School District.
    “We look forward to Monica continuing to work with Sioux Center Health’s strong leadership team and providing her leadership during this transition period” stated Brian Van Engen, Board President. “Monica is a tremendous asset and we welcome her into this new role.”

    As Interim CEO, Monica will continue to move Sioux Center Health forward in its efforts to deliver outstanding care with a focus on service excellence, ensure continued success and growth throughout the entire organization, and a commitment to a stable and highly competent medical community.

    The Board of Directors in partnership with Avera are currently conducting a search to find the new Chief Executive Officer. During this interim period, it is the priority of the Board to find the best individual to lead, while still maintaining a thriving and effective organization.
