Sioux Center announced that Jamie Vitamvas, MD will be joining the Hull Medical Clinic on August 6, 2013 as a family medicine physician.
“I am really looking forward to seeing patients in the communities of Hull and surrounding areas,” said Dr. Jamie Vitamvas. “Hull is a great rural community, and I am excited about the opportunity to care for their needs and provide holistic, whole-person healing.”
Living in a small town with a full-spectrum of care was important to Dr. Vitamvas. One of the reasons she chose to begin her practice at the Hull Medical Clinic was because of proximity to family. Her husband, Jeremy Vitamvas, has family living in Orange City.
“Dr. Vitamvas is a great addition to our Hull Medical Clinic and will be joining Dr. Rens in providing care and service to patients at the Hull Medical Clinic,” said Mary McClung, Clinic Services Officer. “We were very impressed with her philosophy on care. Adding Dr. Vitamvas will help our clinic care for all those in need of medical attention.”
Dr. Vitamvas graduated with an undergraduate degree from Creighton University in Omaha, NE. She later went on to receive her medical degree at University of South Dakota, Sanford School of Medicine and recently completed her residency at Lincoln Family Medicine Program in Lincoln, NE.
The addition of a new family medicine physician is an important step for the health ministry as they transition to replace the current hospital and medical clinic with a new $48.5 million facility located on B-40 and 13th Avenue in Sioux Center.
“The new facility is a major milestone for us as a health ministry, but we also need to have the right people in place to care for the residents of our communities,” said Kayleen Lee, Chief Executive Officer. “One of our priorities is to recruit and retain the best medical professionals to serve our area, and Dr. Jamie Vitamvas is a perfect example of that.”Leave a reply →
